CASTING
Details of model agencies as well as street casting agents can be found in the Casting section of the Black Book. Please request details from your Exec Producer.
Casting can be presented using the Creative Blood Casting Template
Model contracts/release forms must be signed by all talent whether paid or unpaid. Your client should provide these for you. Creative Blood have their own model release forms if needed; Paid talent release and non paid talent release
Please check with model agencies whether the talent has worked with competing brands, and check to see if the talent has any tattoos that will be visible/need clearance.
Please note that when casting for alcohol brands, talent must be over 25 years old.
All Talent releases need to be saved in G Drive: Job Bags > Job Files > Jobs Active > CBXXXXX > Production > Casting & Talent > Talent Releases
All casting decks need to be saved: Dropbox > Project Folder > 02. Production > 07. Talent > 02 Casting sessions/options
When casting Children, please keep the following in mind.
We are required to obtain a child performance licence for anyone under the age of 16 (or school leaving age) who is participating in a shoot.
You are not required to obtain a child licence for child castings and fittings - these should be scheduled considerately, so that they take place after school hours.
If the child in question is represented by an agency, their agency will charge a small fee to sort the licenses for them.
If not, please make contact with the relevant council as soon as you have the child’s address/council, shoot date, child’s age.
Current legislation for child performance licence applications requires 21 days notice (although can normally be turned round in 10)
If the child won’t be with their parent, or family guardian, they must be supervised by a chaperone approved by the council.
Application fees (per child) - free if direct with council/allow £40 if through agency.
Chaperone - allow £100 (some agencies do not charge/not required if the child is direct).
Shoot scheduling/hours - Please refer to the Child Performance Regulations document.
Please read the Creative Blood Child Safeguarding Policy.
